My work addresses the complexities of acculturation, displacement, and race, with the intent of re-imagining what belonging and family can look like from my perspective as a transracial adoptee growing up with a white family in Texas. I reference Chinese art historical traditions and folklore in my ceramic sculptures and jewelry, which are based in and inspired by southwestern mythologies and aesthetics.
