A SPACE FOR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
EXCHANGE is an 8 feet tall by 10 feet wide section of wall just outside the Main Gallery at Cottonwood where we feature installations that invite visitors to think, draw, reflect, and interact. If you have a great idea for a future installation, pitch it here by filling out the submission form below!
Here are some previous installations we’ve enjoyed: Art Madness (a March Madness style bracket where patrons voted for their favorite artist of all time), Confessions (patrons wrote secret confessions and posted them anonymously), A Picnic for the End of the World (questionnaires were printed on seeded paper, filled out, and later planted throughout the community), Paint by Numbers (a large composition was divided into dozens of tiny color coded canvases, each painted by a different visitor, and then reassembled).
You could be our next installation artist! Concepts stay in place for three months. Please be aware that the installation cannot block hallway access and should not protrude more than 12” from the wall. Proposals that encourage interaction and engagement are most likely to be selected.
