You wrote the book. Now sell it. This is a three-week workshop that takes the mystery, and the dread, out of querying. You’ll write your query letter, tackle your synopsis, and learn exactly what else agents expect in a submission package. Just you, your manuscript, and a query package ready to send by the time we’re done.
Students will learn:
• What a query package is and why every component matters
• How to write a compelling query letter that hooks agents from the first line|
• How to craft a synopsis that tells your full story without losing the magic
• How to research agents and tailor your submissions professionally
MATERIALS
Please bring a laptop or device for writing and note-taking and a completed or nearly completed manuscript you are preparing to query.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Beth Iler is an independent editor, journalist, and author with a BS in Journalism and an MA in Publishing. With over ten years of editing experience, she brings versatility and precision to every project. She enjoys hiking, going to poetry slams, and Swedish metal concerts. She reads way too many books at one time, from poetry to weird medical non-fiction. But her true love is fantasy and myths.
