PITCH PERFECT

PITCH PERFECT: QUERY LETTERS & BOOK BLURBS THAT SELL
INSTRUCTOR: BETH ILER

Recommended for students of any skill level aged 18+

You can write a brilliant book, but if you can’t pitch it, no one will read it. Query letters and book blurbs are two of the most important marketing tools a writer will ever create. One persuades an agent to request pages. The other gets readers to buy the book. Though they serve different purposes, both require clarity, precision, and a deep understanding of story.

In this four hour workshop, we’ll break down the fundamentals of both query letters and book blurbs. Through craft instruction, examples, and guided exercises, you’ll learn how to present your story with confidence and impact, avoid common pitfalls such as summary overload or vagueness, and leave agents and readers wanting more.
