ABOUT THE ARTISTS

LISA FABIANO
My approach to painting is colorful, sensual, intuitive. In my current work, the paint is layered, stacked, moving outward, toward you - creating peaks, hills, valleys, and crevices - inviting a closer look.

These paintings are about seeing the full surface and exploring the terrain. They are works of a sensual nature and, although abstract, they are most certainly influenced by the light and dynamic geography of Colorado.

KAREN KHOURY
On a formal level my work explores paint, its inherent qualities of structure, and its diverse application on the two dimensional surface. These new works explore a more modest or restrained use of paint as material and rely on the two dimensional surface.

When I work I am at peace. My hope is that the viewer find beauty, care, balance, and their own sense of peace. The small scale of my work requires an intimate evaluation, it exists for you, the viewer in that moment.

CASS MULLANE
This body of work explores my memory of travel and the experiences I felt when I was immersed in the culture of these places. Specifically, this work deals with aging, and degeneration, then repair and restoration.

CAROL MORDECAI MYERS
My work stems from my interest in embodied presence. Observation and immersion in the natural world is my jumping off point. I work in layers building up and then scraping, scratching, and washing back to reveal glimpses of previous passages. Exposing underlying marks introduces a sense of discovery that becomes part of my creative process.
