CYANOTYPE PRINTING

CYANOTYPE PRINTING
INSTRUCTOR: CATALINA STRATIENCO

Also known as solar printing, cyanotype is a process that uses light sensitive chemicals to capture intricate shapes and details on paper and fabric. After the prints are developed, we will use watercolor and markers to enhance and develop the prints.

You can frame them or turn them into spectacular cards!

We will also apply the process to create cyanotype bandanas, our introduction to applying the process to fabric. Use your imagination to create your own designs on various materials like shirts, aprons, napkins or any natural fiber.

MATERIALS
All materials will be supplied with a $20 fee, payable to your instructor at the start of class.
