CALL TO ARTISTS: GLASS IN THE SPRINGS

 

Glass Artists of the Pikes Peak Region (GAPPR) invites all glass artists to participate in its 4th annual juried glass show to be held at Cottonwood Center for the Arts, 427 E. Colorado Ave., Colorado Springs, CO.

Submission of work will be juried during intake days or by email entries with photos (1MB or less) submitted by May 1st. All entries must be delivered to Cottonwood during intake days. GAPPR reserves the right to reject any work submitted for any reason, including poor workmanship, space availability, and safety considerations, or to attain balance and diversity of work in the show.

Artists are asked to categorize their own work. Those pieces not categorized will not be judged for awards.

Hot Glass: blown, lamp-worked and cast glass
Warm Glass
: fused and slumped glass
Cold Glass
: copper foiled, leaded, painted, etched or sandblasted glass
Mosaics:
grouted glass work
Jewelry
: one-of-a-kind fine work
3-Dimensional
: lamps and sculptures
Work submitted in the above categories must be designed and crafted by the artist.
Student/Crafter
: less than 1 year of work experience or a non-original design

Intake: May 17 – 19 (times on entry form)
Opening Night: May 25 (5 pm – 8 pm)
Show Closing: June 16
Pick-up: June 16 (2 pm – 4 pm) or June 19 (10 am – 2 pm)
