PAINTING WITH WOOL | FIBER ART

What exactly is “Painting with Wool?” It’s a 2D needle felting process whereby you “paint” an image with different color wools using felting needles. During a creative endeavor like needle felting, not only is our mind focused on our project, but the motion of our hands works to settle the nervous system. We are actively soothing our emotions and letting the rest of the world fade to the background. It's like playing with fuzzy clay, and it's amazingly fun, cathartic and meditative.
It’s a portable hobby: This form of fiber art can be done just about anywhere, making it a great activity to take with you on the go.
In this engaging and relaxing class, you’ll learn to use a felting needle and wool roving fibers to create colorful, textured pictures out of fiber. A variety of images will be provided for inspiration, or you can create your own design!
MATERIALS
All supplies, as well as a frame to finish your work, are provided with a $25 fee, payable to your instructor at the start of the first class session. Feel free to bring a sack lunch.
