ADVENTURES IN WATERCOLOR
ADVENTURES IN WATERCOLOR
INSTRUCTOR: JENNIFER MILLIRON
Explore delicious techniques in watercolor as you create two images from nature. Root yourself with a sense of zen and feel fully present while painting stacked stones that evoke balance and poise. Cairns have evolved from landmarks to symbols of friendship. They offer guidance for those wandering life’s path. To stumble upon this rock sculpture is to know you aren’t alone. Someone has traversed the same terrain you now find yourself on.
Sheep represent community, innocence and serenity. These creatures, like most artists, have quirky and gentle dispositions. We’ll create a flock of sheep using watercolor skills learned from our cairn project. Wet on dry, blotting, graded wash and wet on wet are the key approaches we’ll focus on during class.
Disclaimer: Expect to feel significantly relaxed and at peace while creating lovely masterpieces.
Recommended for ages 21+. Feel free to bring a sack lunch and your beverage of choice.
