MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Liz Amacher is from Virginia and started her creative journey in art at an early age. She originally worked in pen and ink or graphite, and later began re-exploring watercolor and pastels. After moving to Colorado in 2016, Liz was inspired by the Colorado sunlight and its cast shadows and began creating her own still life arrangements to capture the iridescent glow of nature.
Liz has served in public education for the past 15 years as an English teacher, art teacher, and now as an education administrator. When she was in the classroom, she always incorporated visual art elements into her lessons, and students enjoyed learning through a variety of lenses.
Liz resides in Colorado with her husband, Mike, and a feisty 9 year old Border Collie, Ruby. You can view more of her beautiful art work at www.lizamacher.com.
