MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Sachiko Snow is a Japanese calligrapher. She was born and raised in Ibaraki, Japan and started learning Japanese Calligraphy at the age of 9. All throughout her academic years Sachiko enjoyed writing, so much that she would find a quiet space after school and practice calligraphy for hours. Japanese Calligraphy, also known as Shodo, became a way for her to connect to herself, a true form of meditation. She moved to Colorado Springs in 2013 where she had two daughters. Sachiko started writing again and making her own products such as buttons, t-shirts, stickers, and custom-made wall art. She enjoys selling them at local arts and crafts fairs. She started getting more requests to teach calligraphy classes and decided to teach people how to write Japanese with a brush and share her love of Shodo in Colorado.
