TRANSFORMING STRESS WITH VISUAL JOURNALING

Many people enjoy using adult coloring books as a way to escape from stress. Although that can be helpful, often it’s not a long term solution, because when you’re done coloring, whatever was causing the stress is still there. A more lasting solution is learning how to transform your response to stress, through a process called Visual Journaling. In this process, you combine words, images and expressive arts (drama, movement, sound) to create pages that help you tap into your inner knowing so you can transform your view of challenging situations in work/life, and your interactions with others.
As a result of attending this class you will learn how to:
- Understand how unmanaged stress impacts your health
- Sort through emotions that interfere with the way you want to show up in work & life
- Create visual journaling pages about your challenges (no artistic skill needed!)
- Reflect on your pages to understand how you can transform your challenges into opportunities to grow and change
You'll leave class with a journal that includes several completed visual journaling pages and supplies and skills to use this process whenever you need it in the future!
All supplies included with a $25 fee payable to the instructor at the start of class.
