THUMBPRINTS | CASS MULLANE, PROSPER CREATIVELY, LLC

One simple mantra: Explore!

Explore watercolor and ink using a simple, no drawing process that Cass calls Thumbprints. This is a great class for beginners to discover how watercolor works through the use of paint, water, two brushes and simple marks and shapes.

You will begin by doing several small experiments utilizing a base of watercolor "Thumbprints," paying attention to how the paint is laid down on the paper and how the colors blend. Then, you’ll see your experiments come alive simply by adding ink. This 3-hour class requires no drawing skill and is great for beginners to learn about watercolor and ink.

CREATIVITY THROUGH HANDS-ON EXPERIENCES | TERZA EKHOLM, ARTIST POWERED BY B.A.N.K.

Sand, salt, baking soda, vinegar, acrylic paint, and ink. There is something in the old adage about watching paint dry, only we’re not going to watch it dry. We’re going to watch it swirl, fizz, and flow.

Creativity is about relaxing the very structured and detailed work we have to do. While it may seem counterintuitive, participating in free-flow activities actually frees our mind so that when we do return to the structured environment, we do it even better. In fact, we often create even better solutions.
