PRINTMAKING PRIMER WORKSHOP
INSTRUCTOR: JOHANNA TOMSICK

Have you ever wondered how Warhol made his Campbell's copies? Or how a hunk of wood was transformed into the multicolored Underwave of Kanagawa? Enter, printmaking! In this one-day workshop, we will discuss all the basics about the various methods of printmaking, and talk about try-at-home methods that don’t require all the gears and whistles of a print shop. After our brief introduction, we’ll roll up our sleeves and get inked with linocuts and monoprints. Once you get your hands in this diverse, fun, dynamic art form, your head will start spinning with ideas!

MATERIALS
All supplies provided with a $15 materials fee payable to your instructor at the start of class. You may want to bring a smock or wear clothes that can get messy.
