MANY TYPES OF MONOTYPES
MANY TYPES OF MONOTYPES!
INSTRUCTOR: JOHANNA TOMSICK
Printmaking can be an intimidating medium to jump into when you learn about all the tools, supplies, and machinery needed to make a beautiful print. Fortunately, there are certain practices that make it a whole lot easier to get started. One of the most accessible methods is monotyping, and in this course, we'll explore a handful of different methods and techniques, proving that you can make a print with some of the most humble materials.
All materials provided with a $15 supply fee payable to your instructor at the start of class. Students may wish to purchase their own small (9"x12" or thereabouts) piece of plexi, their own brayer, a wooden spoon, more sheets of paper--if they want to do this sort of printing at home.
