INTRO TO DIGITAL DRAWING
INTRO TO DIGITAL DRAWING | ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR
INSTRUCTOR: DEMIAN SHIPLEY-MARSHALL
This class aims to give you a good working knowledge of the basic to moderate functions in Adobe Illustrator while creating your own digital artworks or designs. This 4 part course will cover:
1: Navigation, Pen Tool, Shape Tool, and Swatches.
2: Text Tool, Symbols, and Brushes.
3: Live Trace and Effects.
4: Saving work in printable format, and how Illustrator can be used for more than 2D printing.
After basic instruction is over you will have the rest of the class to practice and apply what you learned on your own work and receive guidance on other functions to enhance that creation.
You will need a laptop with some version of Illustrator loaded, please be aware that I will be using Illustrator CC, older versions may look and act differently. You can also download a trial version before the class starts. Ideally you will want a plug in mouse and a drawing tablet if you have access to one. I would also recommend having a sketchbook for development and notes.
