CREW Youth Arts and Design Lab is a Scholarship Program providing no-cost weekend workshops to local high school juniors and seniors with serious interest in the arts. Currently we are focused on visual art, with planned expansion into performing and literary arts, as well as offerings in STEAM, the exciting movement integrating art and design into the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) for the purpose of driving innovation.
From 2005 to 2015, The Adduce Foundation has offered a series of workshops, providing an opportunity for portfolio development as well as exposure to tools and techniques in the visual arts. During the spring and fall semesters Adduce Art Students are invited to participate in an intensive program of additional skill building and exploration. These workshops have been held at Cottonwood Center for the Arts, and Cottonwood now has the unique opportunity of continuing this programming under new sponsorship. This Partnership with Cottonwood provides the Adduce Art Students with an opportunity to be surrounded by dozens of practicing artists and gallery exhibits and shows. They have the opportunity to display their own works in a gallery show and reception specifically designated for their work.
